LS3P Principal and Vice President Roger Attanasio, AIA, CCCA, LEED AP, has filled many roles in his more than 31 years with the firm. Roger has served as an architect, project manager, construction contract administrator, and construction administration director since joining LS3P in 1986. He currently manages LS3P’s Risk Management, Construction Administration and Specifications Groups in addition to performing CA on select projects. Roger is responsible for spearheading the firm’s risk management efforts, including developing and implementing a risk management plan, developing standard RM contract language, reviewing and negotiating contracts, preparing and presenting project management training programs, and coordinating interdisciplinary design reviews for constructability at appropriate phases of construction document preparation.
Roger’s extensive experience in all phases of the design process from schematic design through contract administration have given him a unique perspective on the nuanced, multifaceted issues impacting contract language, proactive communication, and win-win solutions for potential issues which may need to be addressed during design and construction. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering, Roger joined the AIA Construction Contract Administration Knowledge Community as an advisor from 2009-2010, and served as Director of the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools from 2008-2012.
