Ronald L. Geren is the owner of RLGA Technical Services, a specifications and building code consulting firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has over 35 years of experience in the design and construction industry, including projects covering many building types such as residence halls, classroom and office buildings, libraries, multifamily residential, commercial office and retail, religious, theaters, and military. Ron holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona. Ron is a professor of architecture at The School of Architecture, Founded by Frank Lloyd Wright, where he teaches construction documents, building codes, practice management, and building construction technology.

Ron is the author of Applying the Building Code: Step-by-Step Guidance for Design and Building Professionals and has coauthored CSI’s Project Delivery Practice Guide and Construction Specifications Practice Guide. Ron is a Certified Construction Specifier, a Certified Construction Contract Administrator, a Construction Documents Technologist, a Certified Building Plans Examiner, and a Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner. He is a past chair of the AIA MasterSpec Architectural Review Committee and has served on the AIA Codes and Standards Committee. Ron is a former CSI Board of Directors chair and currently serves as the CSI Foundation Board of Trustees chair.
