Corey Solum, AIA, NCARB, is a registered architect and the Managing Principal of Think Architecture, a prominent architectural firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Think Architecture is widely recognized for its excellence in hospitality, entertainment, and mixed-use design. With over 25 years of professional experience, Corey has developed a specialization in resort hospitality, municipal projects, and mixed-use developments.
Throughout his career, Corey has been actively involved in advancing the architectural profession. He has served in leadership roles at local, state, regional, and national levels. Corey was a member of the Utah Architect Licensing Board from 2015 to 2023, including two years as chairperson (2019 and 2020). He has also contributed to task forces and boards for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), the Western Council of Architectural Registration Boards (WCARB), and the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
In addition, Corey is a past board member and former president of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Utah chapter. He has been deeply involved with initiatives such as the Utah Center for Architecture and the ACE Utah program, demonstrating his commitment to fostering education and mentorship within the architectural community. Recently, Corey completed a three-year term as a Strategic Councilor for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National. During this time, he also served on the National AIA ArchiPAC Committee and the AIA National Finance Committee.
Corey holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies (1993) and a Master of Architecture (1995) from the University of Utah. He is certified with professional registrations in numerous states, including Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. This extensive licensure reflects his dedication to providing architectural services across diverse regions and clients.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Corey is passionate about outdoor activities, automobiles, travel, and spending quality time with his wife, Amy, and their three children.
