Ms. Jefcoat is an attorney and registered architect. She was a project manager and project architect for large and complex projects in the Charlotte office of Perkins&Will for nearly twelve years before joining Perkins&Will’s Legal Department in 2012. Her experience in leading higher education, K-12, and corporate commercial projects gives her unique insight into the practical issues that challenge architectural practice and project teams day to day.
Ms. Jefcoat is a member of the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows and has served the AIA nationally on the AIA Risk Management Committee, the AIA Board Community Committee, The AIA Diversity and Inclusiveness Board Strategic Initiatives Group, the AIA Diversity Committee, and most recently the Documents Committee. She is a member of The Jefferson Society, the AIA Large Firm Roundtable Legal Committee, and is the Immediate Past Chair of the ABA Forum on Construction Law’s Design Division (Division 3).
Ms. Jefcoat received a J.D. from Charlotte School of Law, a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
