Jonathan Orlove, Associate Principal at Solomon Cordwell Buenz, has more than twenty years of experience in the field of architecture. His portfolio encompasses a diverse range of project types including large-scale mixed-use, high-rise, and low-rise residential, corporate headquarters, health care, and hospitality. With extensive experience as a project manager, Jonathan has comprehensive knowledge of the design process, from the inception of a project through its design, construction, and closeout. In working with a wide range of clients on varied building types, Jonathan understands that each project is unique, and he responds to each one accordingly to ensure a high level of professional service and responsiveness. He excels at organizing a project for long-term success at the early stages of design.
Jonathan’s passion for the practice of architecture is demonstrated by his participation in various professional organizations such as the AIA Documents Committee. He has experience with a range of contract formats and works collaboratively with clients and consultants to yield balanced results. From an early age, Jonathan had an interest in history and foreign cultures and has traveled extensively over the years. This has proved beneficial in working internationally where it is important to understand a country’s people and place in order to successfully provide design services and conduct business. Before joining AS+GG in 2007, Jonathan was an associate partner and project manager in the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Prior to that, he worked as an architect at Ram Carmi Architects in Tel Aviv, Israel.
