Melissa Godfrey is an Associate Principal and studio leader in SCB’s San Francisco office with over 15 years of experience as a project architect and project manager. Melissa has managed a range of project types including multi-family residential, commercial, and higher education through all phases of design. Her extensive experience in the construction phase led to an understanding of risk-management strategies and the importance of contract language for all project stakeholders.
Melissa received her Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and provides mentorship for young graduates entering the profession. She served on the AIA Risk Management Committee and is a member of SCB’s EDIO and professional development committees. Melissa serves as the Board President for the SCB Foundation, established to award academic scholarships to students with financial need in the fields of architecture, interior design and urban planning.
