AIA Contract Documents Names Construction Law and Technology Leader Scott Wolfe CEO

GREENVILLE, S.C., October 17, 2026 — AIA Contract Documents (ACD), the industry standard for construction agreements that support more than $100 billion in contract value each year, today announced the appointment of Scott Wolfe as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as the company continues to expand its technology capabilities and deliver greater value to the construction industry.

Wolfe, who joined ACD’s Board of Directors in August 2025, is a nationally recognized leader in construction law and technology whose accomplishments include founding and scaling Levelset, a leading construction payment platform acquired by Procore in 2021.

His track record of addressing industry challenges is grounded in nearly 20 years of experience as a construction attorney and a deep understanding of the legal, financial, and operational complexities facing construction professionals. This experience has shaped his customer-first approach to innovation, focused on developing practical solutions that simplify workflows, improve transparency, and address real customer needs.

“As a construction attorney, I used AIA Contract Documents firsthand and understand the importance of starting negotiations with agreements built on fairness, clarity, and balance. For nearly 140 years, these agreements have helped owners, architects, and contractors establish a trusted foundation for their projects. We have an incredible opportunity to build on that legacy, combining the strength of our industry-standard documents with technology that makes contracting simpler, faster, and more efficient for the professionals who rely on them every day.”

The leadership announcement comes as ACD continues to modernize how construction professionals work with its more than 300 industry-standard agreements and forms. Recent advancements include an enhanced contract editing experience and an AI Assistant that provides in-app guidance to help users better understand and navigate contract language.

As CEO, Wolfe will build on this momentum, guiding ACD’s next phase of growth through a continued focus on customer needs, accelerated product development, and solutions that keep pace with an evolving construction industry.
